Spencer is a 3-year-old gelding standing 15.3 hands tall with the pedigree, mind, and athleticism to make an exceptional performance horse. He was started in the fall of his 2-year-old year with approximately 60 days of riding before being turned out to mature and fill out. Since coming to me at the beginning of April, he has been ridden consistently 5–6 days a week and is progressing nicely with all the basics. He has also been lightly started on the barrel pattern and is showing a lot of natural talent and desire for the job.

We’ve been hauling and will continue to haul Spencer to jackpots and exhibitions so he can gain experience and see different environments. He continues to handle everything very well. He stands quietly at the trailer, settles into new surroundings easily, and takes it all in stride.

This guy WANTS to be a barrel horse. It’s coming naturally for him, as it should if you look at his pedigree! Those papers speak for themselves! Spencer is barefoot, stands well for the farrier, bathes, grooming, saddling, and loads and unloads with no issues. With his natural ability, and strong foundation, Spencer has all the makings of a standout barrel or performance prospect. Hock, stifle and knee x-rays available from July 2025.
