2017 Consistent & Safe 3D/4D Gelding

Streakin Ta Rarefame ("Rue") is a kind, honest gelding who is safe and fun to ride.

Rue has excellent ground manners. He stands tied, is great for the farrier, trailers perfectly, and eats and drinks well on the road. He's happy to ride out alone on the trails or with a group and is an easy horse to have around. He is the kind of horse that greets me at the gate every day. Very sweet personality and disposition.

I would not recommend this horse for a brand new beginner, but do think he could potentially be a good fit for a handy and experienced youth rider. My nieces and nephews have ridden him on a lead line, and he has always been the perfect gentleman. He can get excited and a little antsy at barrel races, especially around the gate, so I wouldn't recommend him for a beginner rider in a competition setting.

In addition to barrel racing, I take him out on trail often, I've sorted cattle on him, swung a rope off him, and tracked the dummy. I think he has the potential to excel in other disciplines with additional training and exposure.

Rue is incredibly special to me, and finding him the right home is my highest priority. I'm in no rush to sell and will only let him go to a home where he'll be loved and very well cared for.
