Jackie is a sweet mare that easy to get along with. We mainly rode her for HS rodeo and has consistently placed in the top five at. She would make a great step-up horse for a youth rider, or more HS-JH rodeos or even a great fit for an older lady wanting something dependable to take to shows without needing constant riding in between.

At no fault of her own, she has spent the last year sitting in my pasture not being used. I hate seeing a mare like her sit when she could truly be someone’s number one horse like she deserves to be.

Only two things I could say could be a flaw is, she gets a little summer itch in this East Texas weather, nothing severe Second, she does not like a heavy-handed rider. She is the type you can lay your hand on her neck, point and she’ll go do her job.

She’s the horse I trust when people come over and want to ride around. My daughter had a friend at a barrel race who was upset because she hadn’t been able to run in over a year. I told her she was welcome to jump ride Jackie and I’d do a rider change. She jumped on and the two went out and made a beautiful run.

She’s low maintenance, hocks and stifles about every 9 -10 months. She’s not a bleeder but I do run everything on lasix regardless. She is seriously one of the simplest, most trustworthy mares to have around.

I truly hate to see her go, but I hate seeing her wasted in the pasture even more.
