Reno stands right at 14 hands. He was started as a cutter and hauled as a turn back horse prior to me buying him in 2022 and turning him into a barrel horse. Despite his size, he is very fast, quick, and athletic. He gives 100% every time. Reno had a bit of an inconsistent futurity year last year, but after some maintenance he has come into his own this winter, consistently clocking in the 1D and upper 2D. Reno was started as a breakaway horse last March with Randy Melby for a month. Since then I’ve roped the calf sled on him. He is very fun with potential to be a great rope horse as well. He has also roped the sled on the heel side a few times as well. Lightly started on the poles, he would make a good pole horse with more patterning! He is very easy to be around on the ground. Stands for the farrier, bathes, trailers, stands tied well.
